Terms of participation

As of 2013 , the WorldGames of Mountainbiking will no longer be a ‚hobby‘ Championships, but a „World Championships for ALL Mountainbikers“.  It  will be permitted that as well as Hobby Bikers, Licenced bikers will also be able to participate.

 

Participants under the age of 18, will need a signed form of consent from their parents in order for them to participate.

Marathon - new distance

As of 2013 there will be a new Marathon distance - Marathon 58, with 58,40 km and 2.920 hm

Cross Country - Mass start & race time

After a group start, the goal is to complete the technical course before your comrades. Whoever still has energy reserve after 30 minutes to be the first in making the final sprint to the finish at the pedestrianised area in Hinterglemm, has earned the title of World Champion.

 

Race time: 30 Minutes + 1 round

Team rating

By the World Games of Mountainbiking 2013 there is also a Marathon - Team Rating. Each Team needs to have a finisher (man or woman) in one of the Marathon distances.

Combi evaluation "Mountain Hero"

Again in this year we have a special combination evaluation with another international sports event in the Glemm Valley: The International Ski Touring Marathon Mountain Attack.

 

Therefore all those participants who finished the long distance in the Mountain Attack on 11^th January 2013 and complete the "long" Marathon distance at World Games of Mountainbiking will be automatically entered to fight it out for the title of "Mountain Hero'".

The Handicapped rating will be awarded on the short Marathon track only!

Prize for the most travelled group

The World Games of Mountainbiking is a truly International Event and we would like to thank all the competitors. In 2013 we are looking for the Group that has travelled the furthes to reach the event.

(A Group constitutes a minimum of 4 members)

Prize for the largest group

The World Games of Mountainbiking offers also fun and entertainment. The largest Group from the World Games of Mountainbiking 2013 will be awarded a nice surprise and a separate commendation.

Prize money

This year we will spend a price money of 10,000 Euro and a lot of other giveaways!
