amateur champions

Former Austrian Ski-Racer Stephan Eberharter will attend the prize giving ceremony

This year a prominent guest will honor the worldgames champions in the marathon ceremony: ski champion Stephan Eberharter. The triple World Champion, Olympic Champion and two-time overall World Cup Champion celebrated his career breakthrough at the World Alpine Ski Championships 1991 in Saalbach Hinteglemm as double World Champion.

ALTERATION FREERIDE ELIMINATOR!

On the Reiterkogel, the dual track course from the Freeride Festival 2010 is still in place and therefore it will be a DUAL ELMINATOR rather than a Freeride Eliminator at the 12th Worldgames of Mountainbiking

Two Bikers start together on the natural and twisty course – that requests speed and tactics. Who will forge ahead in the first corner?
The riders battle down and only the faster of the two riders qualify for the next round.
Like the Downhill course, the Dual Eliminator course ends at the bottom station of the Reiterkogel cable car.
From here the Riders will be transported to the start in a couple of minutes.

Timekeeping live!

For the first time in the World Games of Mountain Biking 2010 all race times be transferred to the internet so viewers, friends and families at home can follow up live!

CROSS COUNTRY

In order to make the Cross Country event more attractive to the public, the finals will take place on Friday again.

Therefore, the Qualification has been eliminated and all starters compete in the final at 1 pm.

Combi Evaluation "MountainHero":

This year again there is a Combination Evaluation with another international sports event in the Glemm Valley: The International Ski Touring Marathon Mountain Attack.

All participants who took part in the Mountain Attack and complete the 'long' Marathon distance at World Games will be automatically entered to fight it out for the title of 'Mountain Hero'.

ATTENTION: If you already registered for this year´s World Games of Mountain Biking, you can do a late registration for the "Mountain Hero" discipline; either ONLINE or directly at the event weekend, latest - Saturday 11.th of September - 09.00 a.m.

Team Rating

By the World Games of Mountian 2010 there is also a Marathon – Team Rating. The Team which has clocked up the most Kilometres will win a Trophy.
(A Team constitutes a minimum of 4 Members.)

The World Games of Mountain Biking is a truly International Event and we would like to thank all the competitors. In 2010 we are looking for the Group that has travelled the furthes to reach the event.

The World Games of Mountain Biking is a Hobby Event which offers also fun and entertainment. The largest Group from the World Games of Mountain Biking 2010 will be awarded a nice surprise and a separate commendation.

Party in the Marquee on Saturday
